Tembe Elephant Park
Tembe Elephant park is a big five park and is home to 150 elephants in seven breeding herds. The gate times in the summer 1 Oct - 31 Mar opens at 0500 and closes at 1900. During the winter, 1 Apr - 30 Sept, 0600 to 1800. The Tembe Elephant Park is 62 kms from Triton.

Ndumo Game Reserve
Ndumo Game Reserve is known for its birding with 420 recorded bird species. Hundreds of majestic fever trees grow along the edges of the pans where hundreds of crocodiles bask in the sun. Hluhluwe Umfolozi Park
Hluhluwe Umflozi Park has entrances both in Mtubatuba and Hluhluwe, is also a big five park and is a must to see. Entering at the Mtuba gate and exiting through the Hluhluwe gate or vice versa provides an excellent alternative to driving along the monotonous N2. Mkuze Game Reserve
Things to see in the Mkuze Game Reserve include a guided sycamore fig forest walk, Hippos in the Nsumo Pan and fantastic hides such as kwaMalibala and kuMasinga. En-route from the Mkuze park to Triton you will pass the Muzi Pans where you will find two bird guides by the names of Themba and Nkosi who will take you on a guided canoe trip to search for the Pels Fishing Owl, this is an experience not to be missed.
Driving from the N2 through the Mkuze Park to Sodwana Bay provides an interesting alternative route to Triton. Gate times in summer 1 Oct – 31 Mar, open at 0500 and close at 1900. During winter 1 Apr – 30 Sept, 0600 – 1800. Mkuze Game Reserve is 40 kms from Triton and Muzi Pan is 28 kms.
